Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously after enrolling first as a student at Stanford University. Early successes in the field of critical success included parts in movies like Pleasantville and Election but it was her portrayal of Elle Woods in the box office smash Legally Blonde that marked a pivotal moment in her career.
