Jillian Hernnessy (born November 25 on the 25th of November, 1968) is an Canadian actress, singer who had a major impact in American television. The most famous of her works are her incredible performances on American television shows like Law & Order (where she impressed viewers over three seasons in the role of prosecutor Claire Kincaid) and Crossing Jordan (where she portrayed Jordan Cavanaugh, the main character Jordan Cavanaugh). Hennessy demonstrated her skills in independent films such as Chutney Popcorn or The Acting Class. Her acting career started in 1988 when she and her twin sister were the Callgirls on Dead Ringers. The actress sat for a few minutes on Broadway in the musical Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story, before moving into science fiction in 1993 as Dr. Marie Lazarus. In the same year, she became an assistant prosecutor Claire Kincaid in the hit NBC Crime Drama Law & Order. Three seasons of her part was an instant hit with viewers. In 1996, she left the show.
