Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest of the children of singer Dionne Warswick as well as gospel singer Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew up in a musical household. However, it is The Bodyguard of 1992 that turned her into one of the biggest-selling artists in history. While the movie itself and the performance of her in it weren't widely praised the soundtrack album and her cover of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You topped the charts of albums and singles for months, and was sold at 44 million copies around the world. The same year, she got married to Bobby Brown who was a previous New Edition singer. She had their only daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married on March 23, 1993. At this point her use of drugs became well documented and she began using daily by 1996.
